Using round-based leaderboard and progression
In some event types (for example Skateboarding and Freestyle BMX), you'll have heats in the round, but the results and progression are determined by each athlete's place in the whole round.
If you are is a Skateboard, BMX, or Scooter organisation, this setting will be configured for your divisions by default.
This article describes how to configure a round leaderboard and how to use it during a live event. If this is already configured, and you're wanting to know how to view the round leaderboard, see this article.
How to configure a round leaderboard for your division:
- Go to the Division settings > Advanced
- You'll see a field titled Progression determined by athlete's place in. Set this to Round results, and click Save to update
- Configure your heats and rounds as normal, and set the total progression from each round by going to the Round settings and setting Progression to next rounds to the amount of athletes you'd like to progress to the next round (e.g. 8 progress). This will progress those athletes into the next round using the round leaderboard.
- In the heat draw you'll see the progression positions for where the athletes will be progressed to in the next round (E.g. 1st from Round 1)
You are now ready to run your event. The following section describes how to view the round leaderboard.
