Setting the event layout type to be Single or Multi Course schedule

When scoring your event with Liveheats, you can choose between two scoring methods. This setting determines how judges or scorers enter scores.

Note: This setting is only available in certain sports that commonly run events with more than two active courses/banks, or if they need to score multiple divisions at the same time.

Supported scoring methods

  1. Score via schedule:
  • Director must start / end each heat/run using the event remote
  • Heats/runs must be ended to proceed to score the next heat/run
  • All heats, runs, and rounds appear in the event are scored in sequence
  • Supports up to two divisions being scored simultaneously with double banking

Best for:

  • When a judging panel is being used
  • When you start and end the scoring of each heat/run in a set order

  1. Score anywhere:
  • Allows a Director to go into any division > heat/run and start it to begin scoring
  • Allows Director to start and end heats/runs at any time and not in a set sequence
  • automatically hides the schedule from the public

Best for:

  • Events with many courses/areas running out sequence
  • If you are using a single tabulator or scorer, instead of a panel

How to set the scoring method

  1. Go to the Event settings and click Advanced
  2.  In the field that reads, Scoring method you can toggle on each option
  3. Click Update event once done.  Be sure to review the detail above around how scoring works in each method
