Setting the default ranking points allocation for a series and creating a custom point allocation

Each Series in your account will have a default ranking points allocation (point system), that awards points to athletes in the rankings based on their final event result in a division.

This article details:

How to set the default points allocation in a series

  1. Once the LiveHeats team has added a custom point allocation to your account, navigate to the Series area and select the relevant Series via the title dropdown
  2. Click Series settingsRankings
  3. In the Default points allocation section, select the points allocation you'd like to be the default for this series
  4. Click Save to update. Any event results will now receive this baseline point allocation in the series:

How to create a custom points allocation for your organisation

  1. Download the template file in Excel or if you use Google Sheets, make a copy here
  2. Input your points allocation into column B. If you need to add more places than 50, feel free to add those directly into the file
  3. Submit the file and complete the form below
  4. We'll take care of this in 1-2 business days and let you know when its active. You'll then be able to set the points allocation as a series default, or for a specific event division
Note: If you'd just like to increase or decrease the points for a specific event, check out the leaderboard multiplier feature - go here for instructions.
