When you have all the athletes in the seed list, you are ready to generate and customise the draw.

How to draw heats

1. Go to the Event dashboard, and click the  Draw heats button

2. Note: this will close registration and build a draw for all divisions. You can also draw heats for a specific division by clicking into that division from the  Event dashboard

3. LiveHeats will build a full heat draw for all divisions. Click into the division to review the draw:

Customising your heat draw

LiveHeats uses an algorithm to generate a draw based on the common draw types in the sports we support. You can always customise the draw to your preference by:

• customising the progression within a round
• customising the progression from a round
• dragging/dropping names, adding new athletes to heats, and deleting athletes
• editing the Division settings at the division level, or Round settings at the round level

After saving any settings changes, you can rebuild the draw with the changes clicking the  Redraw button, which will re-build your draw with the athletes in your seed list, and the new settings.
