Creating and configuring a series for membership
You can set up membership registration on Liveheats within minutes. Follow this guide for how.
How to create a series for membership:
- Go to your LiveHeats dashboard
- Click Rankings & membership in the top navigation:
- Click Create series:
- Enter the following details:
- Name of the series (e.g. "2028 Pro Tour" or "2028 Memberships")
- Select the Series type. You should select membership only or if you'd like the series to be used for both membership and rankings, select that option (recommended for small clubs)
- Select your option for if you require athletes entering events in this series to have a membership (this requires them purchasing a membership in your organisation on Liveheats, see here for more)
- Add your Membership options/divisions, which can be your competing divisions (e.g. Junior Boys), or if you'd prefer just membership options such as "Full competing membership":
- Click Save and move onto the steps below.
Configuring a series for membership
- Once created, click Series settings, then click the Membership tab. If you haven't yet connected your Stripe account, you'll be prompted to connect to Stripe and then return to these instructions.
- Now, enter your prices and relevant registration rules. Check out the membership management section of the help centre for the different rules and features Liveheats offers in its membership solution.
- When you're ready to open registration, set the status to Open at the top
- Click Save at the bottom of the form.
- You can also activate custom fields on your registration form (e.g. postal address or T-shirt size) by creating a custom field
- Once Open and saved, members can begin to register and pay on your LiveHeats page (e.g. www.liveheats.com/bondi)
- Note, by default all membership will be Series based, e.g. each member only has to join the series once, and you'll create a new Series next year for all members to renew. If you'd instead like to use Rolling membership, where memberships expire after 12 months, see this article
