Creating, adding, editing and removing event and division sponsors


Many organisations have events and/or division sponsors. This premium add-on is designed to increase exposure for your sponsors by being visible on your event and/or division pages from registration right through to publishing results and beyond.


This article assumes the premium add-on has already been purchased and activated. For information on purchasing and activating the add-on, please read our Integrating sponsors into your Liveheats pages help article.


This article will take you through how to:




Creating a new sponsor


  1. Firstly, navigate to the Sponsors tab, which can be found by going to Event settings → Sponsors


  1. Then, click the + Add sponsor button. Here's you will either be able to select an existing sponsor or create a new one. For this example, we will be choosing the + Add new sponsor option.
  2. Complete the Add new sponsor form

  1. Once the form is completed, click the Save sponsor button.
  2. Next, you will need to set the sponsor placement. Please follow the steps under Adding a sponsor to an Event (Event placement) or Adding a sponsor to a division (Division placement) below.



Adding a sponsor to an Event (Event placement)


  1. If the sponsor has just been created, it will automatically display in your sponsor tab. If not, then click the + Add sponsor button and select the sponsor you want to add to the event from the list or create a new one.
  2. Under the Event placement section, select the Event overview option. This will ensure your sponsor is displayed on your homepage, event page and the Liveheats homepage once your event is Live (Read our Integrating sponsors into your Liveheats pages article for examples).

  1. Once you're happy with the placement selections, click Save at the bottom of the screen - this ensures the event is saved and the placement(s) are applied.



Adding a sponsor to a division (Division placement)


  1. If the sponsor has just been created, it will automatically display in your sponsor tab. If not, then click the + Add sponsor button and select the sponsor you want to add to the event from the list or create a new one.
  2. Under the Division placement section, there are three options: All divisions, Specific division(s) and No divisions


  • All divisions - Selecting this option will display the sponsor on all of your divisions

  • Specific division(s) - Selecting this option will allow you to select the individual division you want the sponsor to display


  • No divisions - Selecting this option, the sponsor won't display on any of your divisions

A division sponsor will display on the division page, entries and results page once the draw has been published. Read our Integrating sponsors into your Liveheats pages article for examples


  1. Once you're happy with the placement selections, click Save at the bottom of the screen. This ensures the event is saved and the placement(s) are applied.



Editing a sponsor


  1. Once a sponsor has been created and added to an event, any of the information can be edited by clicking the Edit details button

  1. Complete the Edit Sponsor form, update the name, URL, Logo and or Display text


  1. Once done, click Save sponsor.


Please note: any changes to the sponsor details will be reflected anywhere the sponsor is displayed, including past events. To have different details only for this event, we suggest adding a new sponsor.



Removing a sponsor


  1. To remove a sponsor from your event, navigate to the Sponsors tab, which can be found by going to Event settings → Sponsors
  2. Find the sponsor you want to remove and click the Remove sponsor from this event button.

  1. Once removed, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
